driftbitHi! My name is Thunder, and I go by driftbit on ao3 for mcyt stuff and thunderdone for all other fandoms, I’ve been an ao3 user since 2014, but I only started doing events starting in 2021. This is my first time participating in Fic In A Box! I tend to write very mcyt-centric (and I have since… 2013………. Although no evidence exists of that anymore trust me), but I go where the brainrot takes me. I’m pretty much 50/50 an artist/writer, and I in particular love making comics. I'm a giant mess when it comes to my online organization, so if you'd like to see MCYT stuff I enjoy my blog is transmumbo, I post mcyt stuff on driftbit, and all other fandoms are on thunderdone. If you're on the FIAB Newbies server, I'm parkspurr on there! My DMs are open, I'm cool with being mentioned as I have a hard time following server stuff otherwise.
General Likes: Transmasc interpretations of characters, ambiguous relationships, canon divergence, missing scenes, Futuristic/Cyberpunk aus, relationship studies, neurodivergence headcanons, disability headcanons, 5+1 fics, medieval fantasy/DND-esque aus, body horror, eldritch horror, time loops, worldbuilding.
Fandom Wants: Scar being disabled incorporated into worldbuilding, use of minecraft mechanics for worldbuilding, robot/android interpretations of characters, anything with Boatem, season 8 plotlines, Turf War plotline, season 9 ocean obsession, Idea: Cyberpunk AU Joel and Etho. Joel is some sort of person high on social ladders, but only in the middle on company ladders. Etho is a lower-level person at the same company who works closely with Joel. After Joel gets undue attention drawn to him, the higher ups at the company decide that he isn’t worth the trouble and task Etho with dealing with him. Does he kill him? How does he make the problem go away? Bonus points if Etho is an android and that plays into the worldbuilding. If you'd like to see art I've made from this idea, you can find that here!
Idea: A collection of Hermitcraft Incident Reports that go to X after any catastrophe resulting in the death/injury/etc. of a Hermit. Additionally, server reports on how the health of the world itself is doing.
Idea: Mumbo’s been (knowingly? unknowingly) hiding the fact that he’s a robot from other Hermits and slowly they begin to pick up on hints that he’s not fully human. If you’d like, also incorporating past shops/builds/plots of his (his beating heart s7 base, selling parts of himself in s7, transforming into different things in s8, etc.) would be super fun. I’m also a sucker for robot-flavored body horror, if you want to incorporate that.
Idea: Permit office official documentation. Not just external/permit based communication, but give me internal communication within the office as well, communication between the Permit Office and the Postal Office. Petty, ridiculous workplace drama with minecraft worldbuilding flavors all over it.

Do they take on other traits of each other? Chronic pain? Are emotions linked? How do they feel once the bond is broken and a new game begins? How does it contrast between different pairs?
Idea: Exploration of how the boogeyman curse effects characters beyond “they have to kill someone or lose a life”? Does it afflict them with bloodlust, how does that bloodlust present differently from person to person? Also, with the relationships that are formed in the games, how does violence play a part in those bonds without being totally destructive and harmful to the other person? How do they rationalize/enjoy it?
Idea: Grian is stuck in a time loop, but it’s not a time loop that sticks him in one specific day, but across seasons of the life series. Each time he dies, he wakes up in a different series.
Idea: Joel and Etho experiencing being on their red life together.
Idea: Ren preparing to be the Red King.
Fandom Wants/Ideas: Please make Kim the gayest mother fucker you possibly can no matter what you make. Explorations of him as a queer man in Revachol and his experiences with that community would be so so cool; especially all the different aspects of that community. Does his music taste, interest in cars relate to his queerness? What about the way he presents himself? How does he feel about other visibly queer people like The Smoker On The Balcony? How do his experiences contrast with Harry’s? Also, what does Kim’s home look like? Post-game, how does Harry interact with Kim’s home?
Fandom Wants/Ideas: HEISTS!! More heists!! Plans for them, how they go wrong. Mars Media, give me those classic M-Dramas that Rita watches. I’d also love more election details, more details on the police, what bureaucratic nonsense goes on in Hyperion city? How do those contrast with ones on other planets? Anything Jet-centric or Jet and Peter centric is great, I find them to be really interesting folks that contrast each other so well, exploring their relationship.
Fandom Wants: Complex depictions of the jedi trying to be good but maybe not always being good, complex depictions of clones and robots around how they’re treated, mechanical details
Fandom Additional Details: Specifically, I have watched MOST OF the Clone Wars 2008 animated series (I have made it through season 5 and I’m working on season 6 currently, I think my partner and I left off on episode 5), season 1 of The Bad Batch, all of the prequel movies, and some books. I have read Brotherhood by Mike Chen, Padawan by Kiersten White, Books 1-3 of the Light of the Jedi/High Republic series, and Wild Space by Karen Miller. You don’t have to do anything with this information, I’m just leaving it in for context. Also, Brotherhood slaps and you should definitely check your local library for that book or the audiobook (audiobook is really good especially).
Idea: T4T Obi-Wan and Satine, ESPECIALLY with worldbuilding with how they experience their gender as notable people in the public eye. How do their genders also interact with their differing views on violence and its necessity.
Idea: Even though the jedi are a religious organization, they have a lot of oversight from the republic, what forms do they have to fill out? What are the legal shenanigans that go on between them and the senate? What do they have to give to the press? What internal communications happen, what external communications and negotiations happen?
Idea: Anakin fixing things as a meditative practice (and, perhaps, learning to share that with others).
